Our 10U/9U Warriors Team will be holding open tryouts on May 18th at 10:00 AM at Robinson Lane in Wappingers.
The team will be competing in the 10u division which is for players born after April 30th, 2013. Advanced 9U players interested in playing up are welcome to tryout.
The summer season starts in early June and runs until early August. The 10u Warriors are lead by Head Coach Matt Santis. Coach Matt was a 4 year varsity player at Ketcham and went on to play college baseball at Delaware Tech. His experience and dedication are a great addition to the Warriors program.

Our mission is to work with our youth travel baseball players to develop a love and appreciation of the game of baseball through competitive and challenging play. We focused on building team work and learning to both win and lose with dignity. We teach respect for self, teammates and our competition. We hold our players to high expectations in terms of their commitment to the team. The coach staff is focused on developing not only baseball skill, but also life skills.
Our Principles:
Our winter training home for the 2023/24 is at Cadets Player Development Academy in Fishkill New York. We have access to tunnels and turf training fields to keep the team sharp and developing even when there is snow on the ground. In addition we have weekly batting practice also at Cadets.
Wappingers Warriors 11u & 10u Travel Baseball teams compete in the Greater Hudson Valley Baseball League which is comprised of teams placed into 4 competitive divisions across the New York Tri-State Area.

Spring 2023 Playoffs
The Warriors enter the playoffs as the #1 seed within the 10u D4 division after finishing the regular season with a 9-2 record, which included a 3-0 record against D3 teams. Additionally the Warriors lead the league with 130 runs scored and the highest run differential of +83. Our pitching was 3rd in the league with a 4.3 Runs Against Average representing a dramatic improvement from the Fall 2022 Season.
The Warriors playoffs run came to an early end in the 2nd round of of the playoffs. The Warriors faced off against an impressive Heat Black team losing 10-0 to bring the Spring 2023 season to an end. It marked the most successful season for the Warriors and they will be moving up to the D3 division in the Summer.
Spring 2023 Season
The Warriors spent the winter off-season training 3 days a week including professional pitching & throwing training at Northstar Training with Coach Donnie Lewis, batting practice at Cadets Baseball Academy and team & fielding training lead by the Warriors coaching staff.
Once again the Warriors will compete in the Greater Hudson Valley League's D4 division for the Spring 2023 season. Our team roster has expended to 13 players and we have setup an ambitious schedule of 11 games against teams in both D4 and D3 visions within the area.
Our goals remain the same, focus on developing teamwork, self-confidence and a love for the game of baseball.

October 25th, 2022
Friday October 21st the Warriors won their first playoff game beating the New Castle Orange Crushers. It was a tight game and the Warriors held on for a 11-10 victory. The very next day the Warriors faced off against the Armonk Bobcats in the 2nd round of the playoffs. It was a back and forth battle with the Bobcats eventually prevailing and moving onto the semi-finals. As coaches we're proud of the Warriors never-give-up attitude and appreciated the solid competition from the Bobcats. The Warriors concluded the Fall 2022 season with a 7-5 record (first winning season), their first playoff appearance and victory and a run differential of +9. Based on current standing the Warriors finished in 5th place among 22 teams within the division. The Warriors will take a break before resuming winter training activities. We appreciate all of the support.
October 16th, 2022
The Wappingers Warriors concluded their Fall 2022 10u regular season with a 16-14 win over Black Dirt Barnstormers. With the win the Warriors finish with a 6-4 record and are riding a 5 game winning streak. They head into the playoffs currently as the #5 seed within the D4 division within the Greater Hudson Valley Baseball League. Playoffs start the week of October 17th.
